The SBCI Growth and Sustainability Loan Scheme has been doubled to €1 billion
Announced on 12 October 2026, the scheme now runs until 30 June 2029. It offers lower-cost loans for growth and green projects. You first get an eligibility code from the SBCI, then apply directly to a participating lender, which makes the credit decision. The SBCI lists AIB, Bank of Ireland and PTSB, with Close Brothers and Finance Ireland due to start taking applications (announced 12 October 2026). Welcome Finance does not arrange SBCI loans. Straight answers
Are you a lender?
No. Welcome Finance is a commercial finance broker. We introduce your company to lenders, and the lender makes the decision and sets the terms. We never lend money or hold client money; any finance a lender approves is paid directly to your company’s bank account.
What does Welcome Finance do?
We help Irish limited companies find business finance from our panel of specialist non-bank lenders. We check your company against each lender’s criteria, gather the documents they need, submit your application and set out any offers in plain terms. A named member of our team stays with you until the lender pays out.
Which lenders do you work with?
Five specialist non-bank lenders at present: 365 Finance, Flurish, Linked Finance, Treyd and Triffin, and we are growing the panel. They can help with unsecured and short-term business loans, working capital, tax-bill funding, merchant cash advances, revenue-based finance, stock finance and trade finance. We always tell you which lender is making an offer.
Are you regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland?
No. We only arrange finance for limited companies for business purposes, which, as we understand the law, does not require Central Bank authorisation. Lenders may be regulated for some activities, and you can check any lender at registers.centralbank.ie. Because we are not regulated, the Consumer Protection Code does not apply to our service.
How are you paid?
Lenders pay us commission when a deal completes. We do not charge your company a fee, and you never pay us anything upfront. Commission can differ between lenders and products; ask us and we will tell you how much.
