Finance across Ireland: common questions

Do you help companies outside Dublin?

Yes. We help limited companies in all 26 counties by phone, email and online, so your location does not limit which lenders on our panel can consider you. Our location pages cover Ireland’s main cities with local business information and supports.

Do I need to meet you in person?

No. You can apply, upload documents and track progress online at app.welcomefinance.ie, with a named member of our team by phone and email. Our registered office is in Dublin 1; if you would like to meet, contact us first to arrange an appointment.

What local supports can my company use?

Every county has a Local Enterprise Office offering grants, mentoring and training for small businesses, and access to Microfinance Ireland loans for businesses with fewer than 10 staff. Enterprise Ireland supports larger and export-focused companies, and local chambers of commerce offer networking. Each city page names the relevant offices.

Are SBCI loans available in my area?

Yes. The SBCI Growth and Sustainability Loan Scheme is available nationwide. You get an eligibility code from the SBCI and apply directly to a participating lender, such as AIB, Bank of Ireland or PTSB, with Close Brothers and Finance Ireland due to start taking applications (announced 12 October 2026). Welcome Finance does not arrange SBCI loans.

Do lenders treat companies differently by location?

Generally not. Lenders focus on your company’s trading record, accounts, bank statements, sector and the purpose of the finance, rather than its county. Local factors, such as tourism seasons or the main industries in your area, can still affect how a lender views cash flow.
