About Welcome Finance

A business finance broker for Irish limited companies, based in Dublin.

Who we are

Welcome Finance is the trading name of Welcome Fintech Solutions Limited, a company registered in Ireland (CRO 824107), with its registered office at Venture Hub, 136 Capel Street, Dublin 1, D01 T2C9.

We are a commercial finance broker, not a lender. We help Irish limited companies find business finance from our panel of specialist non-bank lenders, which we are growing.

What we do

We take the time to understand what your company needs and why, check it against lenders' criteria, and approach only the lenders likely to consider it. Where lenders make offers, we set out the rate, fees, security and any guarantee side by side so you can choose with confidence.

  • Unsecured, short-term and working capital business loans, including funding for a tax bill
  • Merchant cash advances and revenue-based finance
  • Stock finance and trade or supplier-payment finance

How we work

We arrange finance for limited companies for business purposes only. We do not arrange consumer credit, mortgages or personal loans. This activity is not regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

We are paid commission by the lender when finance completes. We do not charge your company a fee and never ask for payment upfront.

Our standards

More about us: company information, our customer commitments and our editorial policy.

  • Plain-language explanations of every offer
  • The full cost, including fees, shown before you commit
  • No pressure to accept any offer
  • Your data handled in line with GDPR

About Welcome Finance: FAQs

Is Welcome Finance a lender?

No. Welcome Finance is a commercial finance broker. We introduce Irish limited companies to lenders for business-purpose finance, and each lender makes its own decision and sets its own rate, fees and terms. We do not lend money ourselves and we never hold client money; any funds a lender approves are paid directly to your company.

What does a business finance broker actually do?

A broker finds out what your company needs, checks it against lenders’ published criteria, gathers the documents those lenders ask for and submits the application to the lenders likely to consider it. Where offers come back, we set out the rate, fees, security and any guarantee in plain terms. The decision to lend, and the decision to accept, are never ours.

Which lenders do you work with?

We currently work with five specialist non-bank lenders: 365 Finance, Flurish, Linked Finance, Treyd and Triffin. We are growing the panel over time. We always tell you which lender is making an offer, so you can read its terms and check its status on the Central Bank of Ireland register before you accept.

What kinds of finance can you help with?

Our panel can help with unsecured and short-term business loans, working capital loans (including funding a tax bill through a general business loan), merchant cash advances, revenue-based finance, stock finance and trade or supplier-payment finance. For anything else, tell us what your company needs and we’ll tell you honestly whether our panel can help, or where to apply instead.

Where are you based?

Our registered office is Venture Hub, 136 Capel Street, Dublin 1, D01 T2C9. We work with limited companies in every county by phone, email and online, so you do not need to visit us. If you would like to meet, please contact us first to arrange an appointment.

Are you regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland?

No. As we understand the law, arranging business-purpose finance for limited companies does not require authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland. We do not arrange consumer credit or home mortgages, which are regulated activities. Lenders may be regulated for some activities, and you can check any lender on the Central Bank’s online register.

Who can apply through Welcome Finance?

Companies registered in Ireland with the CRO: private companies limited by shares (LTD), designated activity companies (DAC), public limited companies (PLC) and unlimited companies (ULC), borrowing for business purposes. Start-ups registered as limited companies can apply, although options may be fewer. Sole traders, partnerships, charities, companies limited by guarantee and individuals cannot apply through us.

How are you paid?

Lenders pay us commission when finance completes. We do not charge your company a fee and never ask for payment upfront. Commission can differ between lenders and products, and you can ask us at any time how much we would receive for an offer.
